Important Points
Energy absorbed is transmissible between pigments by resonance transfer, following the rule that such a transmission/passage would always by from a pigment with shorter absorption maximum (or lambda) to a pigment with longer lambda. Thus every photosystem (or pigment system) has only pigment molecule with longest maximum (like Chl a 700/P700 in PS I and Chl a 680/P680 in PS II) action as photoreaction center that exits as electron when sufficiently stimulated due to energy transfer by the neighbouring molecules of secondary/ accessory Pigments in an assembly of 300 molecules comprising each photosystem.

Low velocity of Calvin cycle is mostly because of the efficiency of RuBP - carboxylase (or Rubisco).
Under monochromatic illumination, photosynthesis is best in red light. In natural conditions however best photosynthesis would be under appropriately intense sunlight.
