Diuretics classification in order of site of action "COLT Pee"- In their sequential site of action along the nephron: Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (at the proximal tubule) Osmotic diuretics (at the Loop of Henle) Loop diuretics (at the ascending loop) Thiazides (at the distal tubule) Potassium-sparing diuretics (at the collecting tubules)- Diuretics make patient pee like a horse, hence "Colt Pee".
Outer part of kidney is known as cortex contains Malpighian capsules, PCT and DCT. Inner part of kidney is lighter in color and it contains loop of Henle and collective tubules.
Podocytes are special, less flattened calls which line the concavity of Bowmann's capsule.
Ornithine cycle takes place in liver cells where ammoia is detoxified. Ornithine cycle is also called as urea cycle or Kreb-Henseleit cycle.
The enzyme tabing in orinithine cycle is a arginase, which hydrolyse the arginine into urea and orinithine.
