The solubility of a gas in a liquid depends upon pressure, temperature, nature of gas and the nature of solvent. It increases with increase of pressure and decrease of temperature. According to Henry's law, " At a particular temperature, the solubility of a gas in given volume of a liquid is directly proportional to the pressure of the gas above the liquid.

Raoult's law states that at a given temperature the vapour pressure of a solvent in solution is proportional to its mole fraction.
