Tips and Tricks on Coordinate Geometry II


For a given point P (x, y, z) in space with reference to reactangular co-ordinate axes, if we draw three planes parallel to the three co-ordinate planes to meet the axes (in A, B and C say), then
OA = x, OB = y and OC = z where O is the origin.
Converswly, given any three numbers, x, y and z we can find a unique point in space whose co-ordinates are (x, y, z).
