  • The online application process for JEE-Mains 2016 will start from 1st December, 2015 onwards.
  • The entire application process is online, including uploading of photograph & signature and payment of fee the candidates are required NOT to send any document to JEE (Main) Secretariat.
  • Online application has to be submitted through JEE (Main) -2016 website www.jeemain.nic.in.
  • The last date for filling the JEE-Mains application form is 31th December, 2015.
  • JEE Main 2016 offline (Pen & Paper Based) entrance exam will be conducted on April 03, 2016 (Sunday).
  • JEE Main 2016 Computer Based Test will be conducted on the 9th and 10th April 2016 (Saturday & Sunday).

Who Conducts JEE Main

In pursuance of MHRD's directions and subsequent decision of the JEE Apex Board on JEE (Main) and (Advanced, the JEE (Main) Examination, (hitherto known as AIEEE - Paper I) for admissions to B.E./B.Tech courses at NITs, IIITs, DTU, Delhi and other CFTIs will be held. The JEE (Main) (Paper I of earlier AIEEE) for B.E./B.Tech will be held in two modes, viz offline and online (CBT). The examination (Paper II of earlier AIEEE) for admissions to B.Arch/B.Planning courses at NITs, IIITs, DTU, Delhi and other CFTIs will be in offline mode only.

A Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2015 has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 87 institutes for the academic year 2015-16. This includes 18 IITs, ISM, 31 NITs, 18 IIITs and 18 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform from this year. JEE Main Exam Pattern

Objective type paper with equal weightage to physics, chemistry and mathematics.The JEE (Main) (Paper I) will have one objective type question paper. The paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The duration of the paper will be 3 (Three) Hours. The Paper II for admissions to B.Arch/B.Planning courses at NITs, IIITs, DTU, Delhi and other CFTIs will have one Question Paper consisting of Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing Test as per past practice of AIEEE. The duration of the paper will be 3 (Three) Hours.
The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE (Main) shall be limited to 03 (three).
