Closure property is when you do any mathematical operation and the result belongs to the same number category. For eg whole numbers(0,1,2,3,.....) 1+2(both are whole numbers)=3(whole number So whole numbers have closure property in addition But 1-2=-1(not a whole number) So whole numbers do not have closure property in subtraction

Closure property A set of numbers is said to be closed for a specific mathematical operation if the result obtained when an operation is performed on any two numbers in the set, is itself a member of the set. If a set of numbers is closed for a particular operation then it is said to possess the closure property for that operation.
