How many numbers between 3000 and 4000 can be formed with the digits 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 (repetition of digits not allowed)?

so there are 4 place values to be filled with 8 different digits since there is certain restriction that number that to be formed should be between 3000 and 4000 which means that the thousand's place can be filled with only one digit '3' in 1 ways now the hundred's place can be filled with rest of the 7 digits in 7 ways (since repetition is not allowed) similarly ten's place and unit place can be filled in 6 and 5 ways respectively. therefor the number of numbers can be formed will be 1x7x6x5=210
