Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2017) is formerly known as Karnataka CET (K CET/Kar CET). It is managed by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA CET) under the aegis of Karnataka University.
CET Karnataka is a state level entrance exam organized for providing admission in various full-time courses in the field of engineering, pharmacy & architecture offered by various colleges and institutions located in Karnataka state.
Around 84000 seats are available through Karnataka CET.

Eligibility criteria:
  • Pass in 2nd PUC/12th or equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics as a compulsory subjects and English as a language subject.
  • Candidates must have secured 45% marks in Physics & Mathematics along with any one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer for general candidates and 40% marks for reserved categories.
  • Candidates appearing in qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
The K-CET 2017 exam pattern is mentioned below:

  • Mode of Examination: The exam will be conducted via offline method (pen and paper based mode).
  • No. of Questions: Each section will contain total 60 questions.
  • Answer Mode: Candidates will be required to use only blue or black ball point pen to mark their answers.
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct response one mark will be awarded. There will not any provision of negative marking for incorrect response.
