About JEE Main 2019
JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination) is a top-level Engineering Entrance Exam of India conducted by CBSE Board.
The candidates can get admissions in B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch courses in NITs, IIITs and other engineering institutions through JEE Main,
though IITs offer admission to these courses through JEE Advanced examination. Candidates who qualify JEE Main Exam will be
considered eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination. Earlier JEE Main 2017 exam was held on 2nd April (Pen and Paper Based
exam) & 8th, 9th April(Computer Based exam), In 2018 JEE Main will held on 8th April 2018 (Pen and Paper Based
exam) & 15th, 16th April(Computer Based exam).

Some important highlights related to JEE-Main 2018 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA is given below:
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Citizen. NRIs, PIOs, OCIs & Foreign national candidates can also apply.
- Age Limit: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October, 1993 (for general and OBC candidate) are eligible to apply.
If candidates belonging to a reserved category like SC, ST and PWD category, then the date of birth falls on or after 1st October, 1988 are eligible for JEE main application. Candidates must have to take minimum 5 subjects in 12th/equivalent examination. Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2018 must have passed class 12th with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. - Academic Eligibility: Candidates must qualify their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Candidates must have to take minimum 5 subjects in 12th/equivalent examination. Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2018 must have passed class 12th with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
