About JEE Advanced 2019

JEE Advanced 2018 will be organized for admission to the undergraduate courses leading to a UG, Integrated PG or UG-PG Dual Degree. These courses will be offered in the field of Engineering, Architecture, Sciences or Pharmaceutics. JEE Advanced 2018 is a national level entrance exam managed by the seven zonal Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) on the rotation basis. Through this exam, candidates will get admission into IITs & ISM. This IIT JEE exam is the second state of JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination).Students are eligible to write JEE Advanced only if they clear the cut off marks in JEE Main. JEE Advanced is also considered as one of the toughest exams in the world. Over 14 lakh students appear every year and only 20,000 get a rank in JEE Advanced.

There are around 11,000 seats in all categories.

Some important highlights related to JEE-Advanced 2018 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA is given below:
  • Nationality: Indian citizen and OCI & PIO candidates are eligible to apply.
  • Age Limit: Candidate should have born on or after 1st October 1993 (for general candidates) and 1st October 1988 (for SC/ST & PwD candidates).
  • Academic Eligibility: Candidates appeared in the 12th or equivalent exam in the year 2017 or 2018 for the first time in all subjects are eligible to apply.
  • Performance Eligibility: Candidate should be among the top 2,24,000 (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2018 to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2018.
  • Attempts: Candidates must appear for JEE Advanced exam (IIT JEE Exam) a maximum of two times in a consecutive years.
