If the coefficient of correlation between x and y is 0.28 , covariance between x and y is 7.6 and variance of x is 3 then what is the S.D. in y series?? what is COEFFICIENT OF CORRELATION , btw??

The coefficient of correlation indicates an association between two variables.

The formula is:

r_{xy} =  \frac{COV(X,Y)}{ SD_{x}SD_{y}}

Variance=SD^2

SD_{x}=  \sqrt {3}

Now you have everything to put into the formula

Hence, SD_{y}=15.7
