Who Conducts IIT-JEE
The Indian Institutes of Technology(IIT) are institutions of national importance established through an Act of Parliament. These Institutes play a leading role in technological manpower development and conduct research programs. The institute is present in Bhubaneswar, Bombay (Mumbai), Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras (Chennai), Mandi, Patna, Punjab, Rajasthan and RoorkeeNo of Seats
IITs are the best institutes for Engineering courses in India. There has been huge demand for admissions into IITs Thanks to their excellent academic environment and placement record. Hence the training for IIT JEE has been highly corporatised. The number of seats have been increased as the new IITs have joined to the old ones. Before 2008, there are 7 IITs in the country. In 2008 Govt. of India has started 6 New IITs in various states. There are proposls for two more IITs to be established in 2009 and they were also started functioning in temporary campuses recently.There are 120 seats in each IIT college.IIT-JEE Exam Pattern
Each of the above two question papers would consist of three sections on Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry and the questions will be of objective type in nature designed to test the comprehension and analytical ability of the candidates.
