a nucleophilic reaction is the reaction involving attack of a nucleophile(nucleus loving species) on an electrophile substituting some leaving group.

there are two types of nucleophilic substitutiion reactions

1.sn1

2.sn2

sn1 is substitution nucleophilic unimolecular

sn2 is substitution nucleophilic bimolecular.
