Gibbs energy is a concept of Thermodynamics - it means a thermodynamic potential that measures the useful or process initiating work obtainable from an isothermal system. A good analogy would be the potential energy of mechanics - similarly, gibbs enery is the potential to do non-mechanical work by a system. Hope this helps! Tarun |
