 Tarun Bhalla Offline | Posted on : 04:28:50 PM on February 24, 2010 Capacitor is essentially a charge storage device - so the fluctuations that happen during the voltage step down can be reduced using the capacitors very easily. An important point to note is that these capacitors do not play any role in voltage conversion from AC to DC. Thanks, Tarun |
